Find glass teapots
Glass teapots can be a pretty addition to your kitchen. If you’ve never tried a glass teapot, you might be surprised by how much you like them as opposed to a regular steel teapot.
Why Glass Teapots?
Making a good cup of tea is considered an art by many people. The water has to be just the right temperature and the pot itself should be warmed before the tea can be brewed. Everything must be done just right for the perfect cup of tea. You can enjoy that process even more with a glass teapot because the teapot is clear, so you can see the tea and water mixing.
The tea leaves in some varieties of tea almost look as though they’re blooming as they steep in hot water, so watching glass tea kettles while tea is brewing can be a beautiful and entertaining experience. Even if you’re not so serious about making tea that you think every step must be carefully measured and controlled, a glass tea top can make the act of brewing tea a more interesting experience at the very least.
Glass is also a great material for tea sets, but it acts as an insulator. It holds the heat of the water very well while the tea is steeping and being consumed. Glass tea sets don’t necessarily have to be clear glass, but this gives you the best view of the brewing tea.
Buying Glass Tea Sets
Teapots with beautiful painted designs on them with matching cups have a vintage charm. Many of these antiques are valuable and certainly the reproductions are often just as beautiful. For those who love the look of a dainty painted tea cup, using glass tea cups might take a little adjustment. You can, of course, pour your tea into any drinking glass you like (as long as the glass is thick and won’t crack from the heat), but having a cute painted set or a glass tea set can only enrich the experience.
Glass tea sets can be found in some department stores, but online shops have a much larger variety, with many sizes, shapes and designs to choose from, including colored and etched glass cups.
